Portugal 2025 - It's all in the detail!

This was my 4th tour with Pedal Britain in 18 months and the consistency of organisation and support on the ground is without doubt second to none. We had Jamie and Mick, veterans with Pedal Britain as tour leaders who were very supportive, good fun and managed everything without any drama. Safety and our welfare always felt top of their priorities. The riding on this tour is challenging at times but true to the itinerary and our group were very supportive of each other throughout the days. Scenery is amazing and many of the routes are very quiet and almost traffic free. Accommodation was very good as were the lunches, whether picnics or local cafes. Where to next!

Becoming a way of life!

My second trip with PB and I can see this becoming a way of life! Just back from End to End France and it was fantastic with a tremendous sense of achievement. The organisation and logistics are all managed seamlessly by a slick team and all our needs facilitated- whilst bonding as a group of friends and keeping the human touch. Jamie and Ken supported and encouraged with a cheerful disposition no matter what, and nothing was too much trouble. The route is stunning, with bike-friendly roads and amazing scenery, and the accommodation much smarter than anything I’d book for myself! Bikes and riders comfortably accommodated every night! As a female solo traveller these things can be a bit intimidating, but I’ve been so comfortable with PB on both occasions and highly recommend them. Thanks team

Another fantastic trip on the Portugal…

Another fantastic trip on the Portugal North to South. Great routes, great hotels and amazingly well organised throughout. It was absolutely top drawer support from Mick and Jamie, they even sorted the weather. Had a fantastic time.

Epic... Simply amazing!

Epic.... Just finished the relatively new Portugal Tour and wow whilst it is tough it is so rewarding and the vistas just stunning. Probably the toughest of the PB tours I've done so far including LEJOG but I highly recommend it to anyone. Mick and Jamie, once again you were incredible guides and above all great friends on this tour and my previous tours. Thank you to Darren and the team. See you next year for NC500 and France! I'm hooked!!

What a fabulous trip

What a fabulous trip - such a great way to experience Portugal! So many wonderful memories. Jamie and Mick were tremendous hosts throughout and the group dynamic was special too. Thanks so much to all of the team for the organisation and meticulous planning, as well as the memorable tea stops and picnic lunches. 10 / 10

France End to End 2025

Just back from France end to end. Another great tour organised by Pedal Britain which went like clockwork from start to finish. The support and encouragement from the tour leaders Jamie & Ken made the challenge so enjoyable. A last minute issue with accommodation on the last night was dealt with swiftly enabling us to celebrate our immense achievements.Would definitely recommend Pedal Britain if you’re thinking of undertaking such a cycling challenge.

I’ve just finished the LEJOG with the…

I’ve just finished the LEJOG with the very professional team of Darren, Paul and Bob. The event is fantastic value for money. While riding you have a van with a bike mechanic to assist with problems and we tested him numerous times and he always sorted it out. The brew stops never leave anyone hungry and the lunches were varied and to a high good standard. The route is mainly along quieter roads and goes through some beautiful towns and villages that you would never see. There’s no way better to see our beautiful country.I’m really impressed with this company and will use it most year until my spindly legs give up.A special thank you to Paulfor his outstanding effort over the 2 weeks

Fantastic Experience - Land's End to John O'Groats 2025

A truly amazing experience. A great way to see the beautiful scenery of Britain. The Pedal Britain team did everything they could to make the trip as enjoyable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was good, the food was excellent and the guides were fantastic. The feed stops are legendary and really helped keep us going along the way. The organisation required to run these trips is incredible and Pedal Britain are experts. I would really recommend them for your next cycle challenge.

Pete C (Lejog 2025)

I came across this company through a friend recommendation.

I’ve just completed the Pedal Britain 1,000 miles cycle ride from Land’s End to John o’ Groats in memory of my late husband. As a solo traveller from the very first pedal it was the experience of a lifetime. And although they asked us to leave a review , I would have done anyway. Paul and Bob, our tireless leaders, worked really hard. Their patience, encouragement, and good humour carried us all the way through Cornwall’s brutal hills, over Dartmoor , and across the endless rolling countryside that seemed to stretch for ever. Nothing was too much trouble for them – whether it was helping us keep the bikes rolling, or making sure every lunch stop ran like clockwork. The food was great. Every stop had snacks in abundance with flapjacks, fruit, and treats. The hotels we stayed in were so memorable, – from characterful country inns to welcoming Highland hideaways. The organisation was well planned, to the point where we riders could focus on turning the pedals. You get to see the ever-changing beauty of Britain – Cheddar Gorge, the Lake District climbs, Glasgow’s bustle, the Highlands’ ruggedness .The whole adventure was rounded off with a curry night and presentation evening in Inverness – laughter, tears, and stories flowing as every rider reflected on what had brought them there. Everyone was riding for their own reasons. The route is cleverly designed to pass various bike shops along the way, which a few of us needed to visit for extra supplies and essential repairs , this took the mileage total to above the thousand mile mark which is really cool. If you are ever thinking of taking on this challenge, don’t hesitate to use Pedal Britain and give Darren a call for reassurance. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. I came across them myself through a recommendation from a friend and they didn’t disappoint.

End to End of France, St Malo to Nice

I have just got from the End to End of France tour. What a fantastic experience, great routes, well planned and thought out. Our two guides Mick and Simon were excellent, nothing was to much trouble. Food and accomodation was excellent. We stayed in some amazing French villages. Most of the roads were a dream to cycle on. The French countryside blew me away. Scenary was amazing, jaw dropping gorges, river valleys you name it this tour had it all! I would thoroughly recommend Pedal Britain this was my 4th tour with them, cannot fault them

Nick Pollard (France 2025)

September LEJOG

I did the September 2025 LEJOG and despite some awful weather, Paul and Bob always got us to our destinations safely and in good spirits. The brew stops were just when you needed them and well stocked with what you wanted (Paul takes requests). All the hotels and lunch stops were good quality. I'd recommend Pedal Britain to anyone wanting to do an interesting cycle tour.

Mark (Lejog 2025)

LEJOG Sept 2025 with Pedal Britain

Riding LEJOG in September 2025 was a most enjoyable and memorable experience. From the point of booking the information provided was professional, timely and thorough and set high standards maintained throughout the trip. Of course the team of Bob and Paul on the road made the ride a fantastic experience. Paul’s daily briefings coupled with well stocked brew stops and well chosen locations covered everyone’s requirements on the road. As a team they melded a diverse group into a team who supported and encouraged one another and got us all to JOG with smiles on our faces and a great sense of achievement.I can’t recommend Pedal Britain highly enough.

David Mulligan (Lejog 2025)

LEJOG September 2025

I had a wonderful time completing LEJOG in September 2025. It is clear how much planning and logistics goes into organising a large and varied group. Our guides, Paul and Bob, were encouraging and professional. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a successful trip and everything we asked for at the brew stops. The accommodation was consistently good and we were treated with some fantastic lunch stops. I would definitely book with Pedal Britain again.

Eleanor Newton (Lejog 2025)

September 2025 LEJOG

I had a great experience on the September LEJOG tour, riding with old and new friends and being looked after by our Guides Paul and Bob. Managing the varied needs of a large and varied group during a full day was a challenge. But we got used to the 5 minute deadlines for those of us who took a bit longer, and were well fed along the way. Between the Guides and the group we quickly developed into a happy and supportive team. Accommodation was good and at times excellent. Thanks again to our Guides and the group for a great tour.

John Scott (Lejog 2025)

C2M, St Malo to Nice

We had a great time on the Pedal Britain trip. A fabulous quiet route all the way from St Malo to Nice with a good range of hotels, serving French food. The brew stops provided by Pedal Britain team were most appreciated. A big shout out to Mick, Simon and Lewis for looking after us so well. Also to Darren for providing us with the opportunity to take such a unique holiday. We anticipate going on an other adventure in the near future.

Gregory Leff (France 2025)

THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY St-Malo to Nice

THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY St-Malo to Nice. Amazing, well done the Pedal Britain Team. All I had to do was ride my bike, soak up the scenery and refuel myself at the splendid brew stops & lunch locations. Great food en route, even watched the mechanic fix my bike while I was having 2nd’s one day, not forgetting the washer-upper (important part of the team). I felt like a professional. I’ll Be Back.

Tony (France 2025)

C2M St.Malo to Nice

First time I’ve used Pedal Britain and what an experience riding from St.Malo to Nice. The organisation accommodation and food was first class. A special mention to Darren who organised the trip and Mike and Simon who kept us fed and encouraged us all the way ( thanks guys). Will be back when I’ve decided on the next tour.

Alan Humes (France 2025)

The best bike touring company

The organisation, the route, the hotels were all excellent. However the most important factor is the people Mick and Simon were great at encouraging us when the weather went sour, at keeping us motivated when the hills challenged us , and kept us cheerful and happy throughout.

Andrew Garlick (France 2025)

Absolutely fantastic

From the moment of signing up I was impressed with the support and information available - kit list, coach recommendations etc. Darren pitched the information at just the right level of detail and meant I arrived for LEJOG perfectly prepared. Once I arrived I felt in very safe hands with Rad and Ash (and later Les) who were absolutely fantastic at all of the logistics of the trip and made the whole thing possible (mentally for me, as well as the logistics). Their passion for cycling, leadership skills and attention to detail made it seamless and for the trip to run without a hitch. The route and accommodation were fantastic - plus lots of great food stops - all of the brew stops, lunches and dinners. It’s a wonderful trip and I highly recommend Pedal Britain to anyone thinking of doing it.

Alexandra Welch (Lejog 2025)

LEJOG July-August 2025

I had an amazing holiday with Pedal Britain. Darren, Bob and Hayden were fantastic and looked after us all so well. Everything was first rate - from the routes, to the daily specific road advice, to the brew stops and lunches, to looking after our bikes and luggage - nothing was left to chance. They were very well organised and went above and beyond with good humour to make sure that everybody had a great time and had what they needed to succeed. I would have no hesitation in recommending Pedal Britain and would love to do another one of their rides in the future.

Great experience

Great experience. Everything better than expectation. Guides were incredibly helpful, informative, professional and engaging. Hotels/lunches and Brew Stops were excellent. Couldn’t fault the whole process.

Pete (Lejog 2025)

Core Memory Moments all the way!

From the crew supporting the riders, to the energy, and the blessing of the weather this has been the most fun lejog I've ever done! You feel part of a community with a common goal and every step is so comfortable (minus the sore bun from 14 days in the saddle). Darren and the team are so attentive from Day 0 of signing up all the way up to preparing for the trip and went above and beyond over the 14 days! It was a magical 2 weeks that I would recommend anyone to experience themselves!

Michael Baker (Lejog 2025)

Wonderfully organised with exceptional support

Very well organised. The route was wonderful - must have been very carefully planned to be scenic on quiet roads with a good balance of challenges. The care and attention of the guides was outstanding… supporting us with energy and lively good humour.Brew stops were well stocked - just when needed. Lunch stops and hotels kept us well fed and rested with some lovely locations along the route. I’m already missing the camaraderie of the group tbh.

Alistair (Lejog 2025)

I joined the LEJOG tour with Pedal Britain in July 25 It was an amazing experience. The group got along really well together. Everything went really smoothly. Guides Radu,Paul and Ashley were excellent and very helpful in every way. This is a challenging cycle but with the team at Pedal Britain it's achievable. Thanks Darren and the team at Pedal Britain.

Patrick Morning (Lejog 2025)

Fantastic way to see Great Britain

I’m very impressed by how well this cycling tour is planned and organised. Every detail has been carefully considered, and everything works seamlessly. The team is positive, supportive, and places a strong emphasis on safety. The daily schedule is well thought out, the hotels are comfortable, and the food is delicious. If your cycling fitness is up to the task, I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour.

Anne and Kari (Lejog 2025)

Great experience,well organised

Great experience, well organised, good hotels and lunches, our guides Rad, Paul and Ashley were all exceptional and couldn’t do enough to look after us. Many thanks for everything would highly recommend Pedal Britain to anyone.

Rad and Paul were absolutely born to do…

Rad and Paul were absolutely born to do the job they are doing. The thought and care that they shared out to everyone was clear to be seen. I cant praise them highly enough.

Friendly, accommodating, and well organised.

An amazing weekend cycling Wales end to end. This was my first cycling holiday, chosen as a taster before progressing towards LEJOG, and I could not have chosen a better company to do it with. I did so mainly on the basis of so many positive reviews, and Pedal Britain really lived up to every one of them. The organisation was first class from beginning to end, and both Darren and Les were so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help us with any issues or questions. They really do have everything covered so you can concentrate purely on the cycling, amazing scenery, and getting to know all the equally friendly people in the group. There were cyclists of all abilities and experience within the group, all of whom were catered for and supported throughout. My plan is to do a couple more tours before tackling LEJOG, and I will not consider any other company than Pedal Britain to do so! Thanks Darren and Les for a fantastic and memorable weekend.

Mark Ridgeway (Wales E2E 2025)

Lots of fun, lots of support, lots great people

This was my 3rd Pedal Britain trip which is a testament to the business model that Dareen (Pedal Britain's founder and owner) creates. There is great customer focus and excellent support and guidance pre ride and throughout the ride. On each Pedal Britain trip there are always new riders experiencing their first ride with PB and sometimes their first multi day experience. Yet Dareen and his team go out of their way to ensure any new riders are quickly made part of the "family". No multi day ride is easy. But no one gets left because there is so much support and camaraderie from all riders and all the PB team.

Steve Gladwin (Wales E2E 2025)

Wales End to End June 2025

Just finished Wales End to End with Pedal Britain, our 3rd tour with them. A wonderful trip excellently organised by Darren. Great food stops, great accommodation and excellent company. Highly recommended.

4th tour done, 5th later this year

Just finished Wales “end to end” with Pedal Britain. This is my 4th bike tour with this company - which says it all really. My wife and I have so enjoyed these trips that there was no need to look elsewhere. Yes - it was challenging, but the Welsh scenery was spectacular and worth all the effort. It was great to meet old friends from previous tours and make new ones. The organisation, thought and planning that has gone into this is first rate. The support on the trip is always there if you need it, friendly and encouraging. We’ve signed up for a fifth tour in Italy - what more can I say!!Well done Darren and team.

Paul Crowhurst (Wales E2E 2025)

A brilliant experience from start to finish.

This was my first cycling 'holiday', apart from trips organized by my local club. Darren and Pedal Britain came highly recommended by a fellow member of said club. So I signed up for Wales End to End to see what it was all about. And it's all about fabulous and detailed organization, a wonderful yet challenging route, support, laughter, bonkers hoteliers, sun, wind, rain, fantastic fellow cyclists and a lot of eating. My only regret was that it finished too soon.I would thoroughly recommend Pedal Britain and although I already knew a couple of people on this tour I wouldn't hesitate to sign up for one where I knew no one. And that's speaking as a lone female traveller. So don't pontificate, just do it! And I'll be back.

Julie C (Wales E2E 2025)

Pedal Britain - 4 tours cycled & about to do a 5th

I have just completed my 4th tour with Pedal Britain. LEJOG, France end to end, Ireland end to end & now Wales end to end. I have loved every trip. They have been a challenge but the sense of achievement has been brilliant. Darren looks after us so well with great support, wonderful food, lovely places to stay. I have travelled places I never thought I would on my bike & the shared experience has meant making great friends on each trip. And yes, I am very excited to be cycling Italy with Pedal Britain in October !

Rosie Crowhurst (Wales E2E 2025)

Highly Personable and Well Organised

Darren and his team run a well organised and highly personable service that attracts a lot of repeat customers as an indication of how to do things right. Already lining up the next tour with them.

Graham Keeble (Wales E2E 2025)

An amazing experience

I have just finished LEJOG With Pedal Britain at the weekend. What an amazing experience. Individuals within the group had different levels of cyling experience, and the whole group interacted well. Darren and Paul adapted support to enable the whole team to to achieve the goal of cycling end to end. Individual support and encouragement were evident throughout the tour from both Darren and Paul. Pedal Britain came recommend from a previous cycle tour member, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the team at Pedal Britain for someone considering this level of event. We'll done Pedal Britain.

Ireland June 2025

I have just returned from a 10 day Ireland End - End tour (after doing LEJOG 2 years ago) and must say that yet again Darren and the team organised a seamless tour. One of our guides had to drop out just days before and was replaced by another at very short notice. The 2 guides Radu & Les had time for everyone despite their abilities, and made sure that everyone felt included. Break stops were set up approximately every 20 miles along the road, whether it be a cafe or a picnic set up at a scenic location. Both guides were capable of doing basic bike maintenance should it be needed at the roadside, or on the occasion that more serious issues occurred they transferred the bikes to a bike shop..Thank you Darren, Radu & Les.

Ireland End to End 2023 & 2025

Ireland End to End 2023 & 2025. The tour, the organisation, the atmosphere and overall enjoyment are all so good I did this one twice. The whole team ethic and support structure is excellent. There is nothing to fault. I’m already booked up for more tours.

Jeff (Ireland E2E 2023/2025)

Just completed the June LEJOG ride with…

Just completed the June LEJOG ride with Pedal Britain and I can't say enough about the outstanding work of Darren and Paul. From overall organization, to support on the ride, to effectively and cheerfully managing the inevitable issues that occasionally cropped up, these two went above and beyond! I wouldn't hesitate giving my highest recommendation for Pedal Britain to any cyclist wishing to tackle an iconic ride!

The ideal cycle tour of the UK

We have just finished lejog June 2025 with pedal Britain, travelling as a pair with my son. I chose Pedal Britain because of the route from Lands End to John O’Groats

I chose Pedal Britain because of the route they were to follow from Lands End to John O’Groats - avoiding the big conurbations and using quiet roads wherever possible. Their organisation was great from dropping my bike off to the end at JOG. Nothing was too much trouble for Darren or Paul and they worked hard to overcome some real issues Pedal Britain is a company to be recommended

This is my fourth tour with pedal Britain and they just keep getting better. Will return soon for the France tour. Darren and Paul are suberb you can’t fault how they go out of their way to ensure you have a great (gruelling at times) time encouraging all the time thanks lads.

LEJOG

An amazing experience with a great group which was made that much easier and enjoyable by the hard work of Darren and Paul. We may have cycled 1000 miles but they went ‘above and beyond’ in every way. Would highly recommend.

Lejog with Pedal Britain

Just finished a two week Lejog tour with Pedal Britain. They are a very impressive outfit with timely communication, excellent planning and they are very keen to give clients a good experience. I had major mechanical issues on the tour and I was impressed with the extra effort they made to resolve this for me.

RalBou (Legog 2025)

Simply the best

This is my second tour with Pedal Britain and it exceeded my expectations. Darren and Paul make a great team, nothing is too much trouble and their positivity is wonderful. I have some dietary limitations and Darren messaged before the tour basically saying "send me photos of the food and snacks you need for the brew stops", and he bought everything I asked for. Same with the lunch stops at cafes and pubs, Darren sorted everything in advance and looked out for my wellbeing when I was suffering from stomach cramps. Moreover, the way that Paul and Darren looked after Brian, an 87 year old LEJOG rider was incredible and brought me close to tears a few times. They treated him like a precious cargo throughout the trip.Darren was thrown a few curve balls on the tour, from bikes not turning up from USA to a brief visit to A&E, but just took it in his stride. His generosity is wonderful too, buying coffee rounds outside of what we expected and a lavish lunch of chicken, smoked salmon and tuna on day 12. No hesitation in recommending Darren and the team. I've already booked another tour for 2026.

Steve Hockey (Lejog 2025)

LEJOG cycling Awesomeness 14 days

First time attempting a multi day cycling tour. 14 days LEJOG. What an awesome experience. I was worried being the only lady, but it didn’t matter because we were a team. Amazing team. Pedal Britain Darren and Paul went above and beyond to make this an experience never to be forgotten. Thank you

Ireland End to End

This is my third trip with Pedal Britain and it was just as enjoyable as the previous two. Everything is sorted for you and our guides, Rob and Alison, were just brilliant. A lovely group of people to ride with, fantastic accommodation and beautiful scenery made it perfect. I am looking forward to another trip with Pedal Britain.

Colin Lusted (Ireland E2E 2025)

Mizen to Malin

PB is a quality company and organisation The trip mizen head to malin head was exceptional. We had 2 excellent guides who looked after us so well. The route chosen and accommodation was first class. I can highly recommend this trip as Ireland is so beautiful whatever the weather.

LEJOG May 2025

Just completed LEJOG with Pedal Britain, what an amazing adventure, I can highly recommend them. The team looked after us from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble for them even going to the effort of finding Chocomel for the brew stops. As I turn 60 this year I have achieved one of my bucket list goals and have memories that will last a lifetime, my sincere thanks to Jamie, Les, Darren and his team along with my fellow riders to make my dream come true.

LEJOG with Pedal Britain

I have just completed LEJOG with Pedal Britain. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. The riding is a physical challenge but the end-to-end journey is made so much easier by Pedal Britain's excellent organisational skills. The route planned by Pedal Britain is brilliant taking in the most scenic parts of UK and the support provided by their guides went well beyond what I expected. I would recommend Pedal Britain to anyone considering riding LEJOG.

Best company I have ridden with so far. Fantastic organisation and support by the guides.

Pedal Britain the way to go

Pedal Britain provides a friendly, safe and supportive means of undertaking LEJOG; an epic cycling adventure. Everything is very well organised: excellent accommodation, meals, tea breaks and lunches en route as well as technical support (eg sourcing local bike shops easily when neeed). In short, a great value and fun way to achieve a landmark cycling challenge.

Prof Angus (Lejog 2025)

The Wild Atlantic Way - Superb trip!

Wild Atlantic Way Ireland what a fantastic trip, made even better by two great guides Rob and Alison. Amazing scenery, great hotels and professional organisation made to look easy by Rob and Alison, can't praise them enough for making our trip so good!

Five star cycling tours

This was my third tour with Pedal Britain and I can only highly recommend the company. From the initial booking, through to the tours, the organisation and attention to detail is faultless. Darren Ball and all of his tour guides are truly dedicated to making the tours as enjoyable and memorable as possible. I’ve now enjoyed three tours with Pedal Britain and am very much looking forward to enjoying more in the future.

Just finished LEJOG with Pedal Britain

Just finished LEJOG with Pedal Britain. I can’t recommend them highly enough. From beginning to end everything was looked after to absolute perfection. Early comms from the owner (Darren), helped settle nerves and aid preparation. Then as lift-off drew closer, the fabulous logistics arrangements kicked in, making sure bikes were picked up and delivered exactly as described. Throughout the tour, our amazing guides Les and Jamie kept us going with just the right amount of encouragement and humour. And of course the various lunch stops, brew stops and overnight stays are all perfectly organised and just what we needed after a hard day in the saddle. Pedal Britain really are the professionals in tour management and logistics, so if you’re looking for an amazing two-wheeled experience, without any of the hassle, I’d go for PB every time. France next for me (and hopefully some of the amazing friends I made on this brilliant tour). Thank you Darren, Les and Jamie!
